Myriad Genetics, Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah June 1997 - June 2000

Software Engineer, Programmer III

Developed custom web based solutions to aid scientists in accessing genetic data used for biological research. Used a combination of Perl, Sybase SQL, Java, and various forms of HTML to create web interfaces to SQL databases allowing researches to download processed genetic data in various formats using a web browser on the company intranet. Managed database and interface development though the entire life cycle of the software from conception to deployment. Worked with a robotics team to automate database table population in real time. Managed and oversaw four separate database systems constantly enhancing and customizing them to fit the changing needs of the researchers. Provided the accounting department, epidemiologists, statisticians and research core facility managers with database reports monitoring laboratory quality control and general throughput of genetic information.

Footprints, Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah October 1994 - June 1997

Project Manager/Software Engineer, Sr. Programmer

Developed custom applications for universities, government agencies, fortune 500 companies, and small businesses in 4th Dimension, Sybase SQL, Oracle, C, C++, HTML and PostScript.
